We heard back from UCSF on Friday and my surgery date is set! My pre-op appointment is on May 1st, the surgery itself is set for the 4th and I'll be in the hospital for about 4 days after that. Perfect timing for my birthday huh!
I guess I should look at it as the best birthday present in the world, but anxiety is starting to set in. As soon as I got the news, I started to feel sick. Three hours later, my asthma was still bothering me and I still felt like I want to throw up.
I need to get over it though and realize that this is the beginning of something great! I'll finally have my life and my freedom back again with a growing lengthy list of things to do. Wish me luck!
